Quality Assurances

We, being an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, check our design, production and operation activities, on the basis of a document quality system. In order to manufacture our range of heat transfer products, we use better quality raw material such as Copper, Aluminum, SS, MS, CS, Cupronickel and Brass. The raw materials used in our coils are high quality, and tubes and pipes are mill certified and meet ASTM/ ASME standards. Starting from the procurement of raw material till the packaging of products, every stage of production passes through stringent quality checks in our well developed quality control unit.

Our technical team maintains close coordination with the clients to understand how the products will be applied. During the assembly and testing they create designs and designate inspections at critical points. The technical staff is directly involved and available to solve any client queries during the manufacturing process. As each product is assembled the shop personnel examines all components, tubes, fins, brazing, welding, and testing. Our quality controllers use latest equipment to check the quality of our products and these are tested at 300 to 600 PSIG with dry Nitrogen. The products are reviewed and checked at all key stages by our in house inspectors to ensure that special instructions are followed. Once the unit is completely assembled it receives a final inspection.

Quality & Testing

OMEEL Coils has been manufacturing Heat Transfer products since 1997, and recognizes the importance of providing quality products to our customers with ISO 9001:2008 quality management standard. Materials used in our coils are high quality, and tubes and pipes are mill certified and meet ASTM/ASME standards.


Our technical team works closely with the customer to understand how the products will be applied. They create designs and designate inspections at critical points during the  assembly and testing. The technical staff stays closely involved and is available to answer questions as the products are fabricated.


Shop personnel examine all components, tubes, fins, brazing, welding, and testing as each product is assembled. In-house inspectors review the products at key stages and check that any special instructions are followed. Once the unit is fully assembled it receives a final inspection.


Each product is leak-tested just before shipping. Our standard method of testing is charging the coil, Heat exchanger with dry nitrogen at a minimum of 600 PSIG and placing the coil under water. The dry nitrogen helps to dehydrate the coil. Higher test pressure can be used depending on the strength of the products materials. In cooling coils and condenser 150 PSIG

For Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger, Oil cooler, intercooler, after cooler OMEEL Coils can provide a higher degree of non-destructive examinations when the severity of the application warrants it. They include radiographic, ultrasonic, and liquid penetrate testing. These services are performed by our nominated service providers.

We also offer other leak test methods such as hydrostatic, vacuum drop tests.

Quality Standards

Standard Procedures follows by us for Qualitative product
  • Design Confirmation: In this stage, we are verifying and confirming to the design specifications / drawings of the equipment as per the TEMA as well as ASME standard. After that we are getting the approval of drawing, manufacturing procedure, procedure qualification etc., from Clients / Consultants.
  • Materials Control: In this stage, we are identifying all raw-materials by producing the original mill test certificate. In such cases samples of the same are taken for testing at an approved Metallurgical Laboratory in conformance with the specification requirement
  • Stage Inspection: For each and every equipment we submit a Quality Assurance Plan with all the stages of fabrication and inspection. This QAP is sent for approval to the clients and Engineering Consultants. Accordingly our Inspectors will check all the stages as per the approved QAP. Many a times the quality stages are witnessed by reputed Third Party Inspection Agencies appointed by the clients.
  • Final Inspection: It is in this stage that the job is checked for final dimensional and visual inspection. Inspection is carried out as per approved drawings / Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Hydro test / Pneumatic test: After final inspection, the equipment will be tested by pneumatic / hydro pressure. The specified test pressure is maintained in the job for a time of one hour. For checking pressure, only calibrated pressure gauges are allowed.
  • Cleaning & Painting: Every equipments are drained, cleaned, polished and painted as per the specifications. All openings are blanked using temporary blends.
  • Documentation: We undertake projects whereby as per the terms of purchase order multiple sets of Engineering Drawings, Design calculations, the test certificate and other technical documents are submitted as per the client's requirement.
  • Packing and Forwarding: The Equipments are packed in suitable sea-worthy packing as per the packing specifications of the client. Our offers are based on delivery depending upon client's requirement.
